I came up with the title Growing Spaces for my application portfolio because it reflects the journey of my personal growth. This journey spans not only my academic path — entering university and majoring in landscape architecture — but also my development as a person, encom-passing my interests, dedication, and spirit.
On another level, growth is a recurring theme in my design philosophy. My work centers on nature, agriculture, and the renewal of heritage, embodying the idea of growth and transformation.
I feel greatly honored to share my portfolio with you and hope you can enjoy in this glimpse into my story.
“Live, with Snow during Our Life” designed a Chinese classical garden called Hongxue Hermitage, which is situated in Changzhou, a typical Jiangnan city in the Yangtze River Delta, within the Baiyun Temple of the ancient Changzhou Prefecture. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Changzhou was known as the "City of a Hundred Gardens" in China. However, the city's historical landscape has gradually vanished due to the ravages of war and modern economic development, leading to the loss of its river networks, city walls, and gardens, which were once integral to its character. Project aims to revive a garden to rekindle the memory of the "urban wildness" that once defined ancient Changzhou.
“A mini ‘vivarium’ model-making” recreates the most complete elements of rockery, pool, bamboo groves, and architecture from "Snowy Bamboo, Verdant Elegance", which is part of the classical Chinese garden design of Hongxue Hermitage. By combining architectural models with real plants, rocks, water, and cold-water fish, it aims to embody the design philosophy of "learning from nature" inherent in a real Chinese classical gardens.

"I’m a Cat Living with You" is a spatial installation built primarily with corrugated cardboard. The installation uses this material to create an interactive design or art piece, fostering positive engagement among the designer, users, and resulting creation. Located at the Xinzhuang Capus of Nanjing Forestry University, at the foot of Zijin Mountain, the campus is surrounded by lush greenery and abundant wildlife. Small animals, particularly cats, are a common sight on campus. After cataloging detailed information on over 100 campus cats, the project was themed "Traces of Campus Cats: A Day in the Life of Nanjing Forestry Cats." The installation was designed as an accessible, interactive space suitable for all ages, featuring playful elements for children and detailed displays. The corrugated cardboard was utilized to create a relatively large, eye-catching structure, covering an area of about 30 square meters, with six interactive nodes for visitors.

Taking the Grand Canal (Changzhou City section) cultural heritage corridor as the research object, ArcGIS software was used to visualize the geographic information and service scope of different levels of cultural heritage points in the corridor. Using cluster semantic analysis software and LDA topic model, the evaluation of network social media is analyzed. Based on the above data, it is concluded that safe and comfortable pedestrian walkways should be the focus of urban road construction in Changzhou in the future. At the same time, the construction of heritage corridors in Changzhou in the next stage should focus on improving the service attitude of some heritage sites/areas, innovating cultural products, improving service quality, and attracting more foreign tourists.
